Books kept monthly,
not rebuilt in a panic

A monthly retainer from AED 1,470. Your ledger stays current, your VAT return has something to draw on, and your corporate tax filing is a summary rather than a reconstruction of the year from bank statements.

9 monthsCorporate tax filing deadline after year end

What the retainer covers

Every month,not every March.

Most UAE SMEs do not have a bookkeeping problem in January. They have one in September, when the corporate tax return is due and twelve months of bank entries have to be classified from scratch. A retainer moves that work into the month it belongs to.

✓ Transactions recorded and classified — Every bank entry coded to the right account, monthly, against your invoices and receipts.
✓ Bank reconciliation — Your ledger reconciled to the bank statement each month, so a difference is found while you can still remember what caused it.
✓ Accounts receivable and payable — Who owes you and who you owe, kept current instead of estimated.
✓ Monthly profit and loss, plus balance sheet — The two statements a bank will ask for when you apply for a facility, ready without notice.
✓ VAT-ready records — Input and output tax separated as you go, so the quarterly return is prepared from the books rather than rebuilt from the bank.
✓ A file that satisfies record-keeping law — Organised and retained for the seven years the Tax Procedures Law requires.

Who this is for

Signs you haveoutgrown a spreadsheet.

A retainer is not for everyone. If you issue four invoices a year and pay three suppliers, annual bookkeeping is enough and we will tell you so. It earns its cost when one of these is true:

✓ You are VAT registered and the quarterly return is currently assembled from bank statements under time pressure.
✓ Your free zone or your bank has asked for audited accounts, or is likely to.
✓ You are planning to apply for a business loan or a credit facility, where lenders want twelve months of consistent statements.
✓ Revenue is near or above AED 3 million, so Small Business Relief no longer applies and corporate tax is actually payable.
✓ You have staff, inventory, or more than one bank account, and the picture no longer fits in one sheet.
✓ You do not currently know this month’s profit without doing some arithmetic first.

How the tier is chosen

Priced on volume,not on revenue.

Silver, Gold and Platinum differ by how much work your books actually generate — the number of transactions a month, the number of bank accounts, whether there is inventory or payroll to carry, and whether you need VAT handled alongside. Two companies with identical turnover can sit in different tiers.

We will not guess it from your turnover. Send one recent bank statement and we will tell you which tier applies and why, before you commit to anything. If the honest answer is that you do not need a retainer yet, that is the answer you will get.

FAQ

Bookkeepingquestions.

Keeping proper books is. Under the Tax Procedures Law every taxable person must maintain accounting records and keep them for seven years, and the FTA penalty for failing to do so is AED 10,000 for a first offence. Whether you keep them yourself or pay someone is your choice; whether they exist is not.
Small Business Relief can reduce your corporate tax liability to zero, but it does not remove the obligation to keep records or to file a return. You also have to be able to demonstrate that revenue really was below AED 3 million — which requires books. Many clients in this position take Silver rather than Gold or Platinum.
Yes. Catch-up work is quoted separately from the monthly retainer, because the effort depends on how much is missing and how good the underlying records are. Send us what you have and we will quote the catch-up and the ongoing retainer as two separate figures, so you can see what each costs.
We work in whatever you already use, including Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero and Tally. If you have nothing, we will set up a system that suits your volume rather than sell you the most expensive option. The records stay yours and you keep access to them.
Those are separate services with their own fees, listed above and in full on our VAT & Corporate Tax page. The advantage of the retainer is that when a return is due, the numbers already exist. Filing becomes a review rather than a reconstruction, which is also why the bundled annual CT filing price is lower.
Management accounts prepared monthly are what lenders ask for at the assessment stage, and yes, they are accepted. If the bank requires audited accounts, that opinion must be signed by an auditor registered with the Ministry of Economy — we prepare the file for them, which is covered on our audit readiness page.
